You would expect a huge surge in interest when a war starts, but all that means is most of the people on the sub are interested foreigners, not people with personal knowledge of the situation. A perfect environment for bullshit to take over.
Iirc when they did the Reddit recaps thing at the end of the year the top three most active countries on r/Ukraine were America, Canada and either Poland or Germany (icr which) in that order
