Man had one job, just to pretend to care and he failed

I mean, what else was he going to say? Everyone knows how much he backs Israel, and he's not stopping anytime soon unless he absolutely has to. If he's going to back it regardless, then of course he's going to say the thing he's backing isn't genocide when the only alternative he has is saying "Yes it's a genocide but I'm going to keep the weapons flowing anyway"

He's a fucking prick. Obama/Biden politics got us Donald Trump. So yeah, electing Obama 2.0 is going to get us another round of Cheetos. We've kind of known this was coming for about four years now.

Biden was always the accelerationist candidate, plenty of us said this in 2020 and libs acted like we were speaking Martian

    HE HAS LITERALLY NORMALIZED GENOCIDE

During the Trump years people would say something like that wouldn't happen for at least twenty years or more and dems winning could delay it, well look what we got here

I think there’s different definitions of accelerationism. Because a Trump presidency wouldn’t be much different from Bidens but there would be an anti-Trump contingency in the libs, who just oppose everything Trump supports. We don’t have that because Biden is president. So there’s less conflict between the populace and the government.

Trump would also spotlight even worse rhetoric rather than the “milquetoast” justification of Israeli’s right to self-defense.

I hate to say it so casually but genocide has been normalized for quite a while.

Yes, under Trump libs generally agreed genocide and kids in cages were bad things, now they're literally to the right of Trump on those issues

People who think like that are full of shit considering Biden has helped his Israeli friends drop the equivalent of multiple atomic bombs worth of munitions on Gaza in the form of bunker busters and high yield explosives, to say nothing of the white phosphorus weapons used

And in what universe would Trump be allowed to drop a bomb that would rain fallout on not only Gaza, but Tel Aviv and Egypt too? It's disingenuous nonsense and the libs know they're full of shit when they argue like that

Hundred percent. Even if Trump 2's policies were the exact same, (which would be weird, since they governed in different situations) his loud boorish incompetence galvanizes liberal resistance to actions that we've seen them ignore and justify under Biden. Under Trump, liberals were marching in the streets against kids in cages. Under Biden, they justify kids in cages and genocide in Palestine. Biden is the business as usual candidate, and at this juncture in history there is no more accelerationist path for the US empire than business as usual.

While I absolutely despise the term 'accelerationism' , @ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net is correct.

The important thing to remember is that all a fascist is is a liberal whose freedom to pursue coercive exploitation has been challenged.

Acceleration for Marxists is not about a degradation of public order (as liberals would have you believe). It is the acceleration and normalization of fascism, not just the heightening of contradictions. When center-right liberals can co-opt the left by standing with them in opposition to further right-wing liberals, tensions decrease and fascism is averted. However, if center-right liberals also stand in opposition to the left, they then normalize the fascism and rhetoric of the right as a method of ignoring public sentiment and punching left. This then allows for precedent that the right-wing liberals can use to justify their actions further, when they inevitably get back in power with less push-back from the center-right.

The fact of the matter is that both Trump and Biden are accelerationist candidates. Hell even Bernie was arguably an accelerationist candidate, he just would have been an easier face to organize around.

Many, many people. Some of whom I respect somewhat like Swamp Communist. Most at least slightly tongue in cheek.

There's a semi-good argument here in that while Trump will individualistically and stochastically heighten conditions, Biden will drag the entire liberal infrastructure of the USA into support of Fascism, moaning and wailing about how saad they are the whole time.

He's only saying this because the whole US House and Senate are knowingly guilty. Them publicly admitting it or not doesn't change the reality of the situation. All western governemnts supporting the genocide are direct knowing accomplices and enablers. Accessory to genocide. Our corporate executives are also guilty giving logistical, material support to an ongoing genocide.

They gaslight to keep the spotlight off them, but the protestors are putting them all on blast and it's more difficult for them to defend their positions as this goes on.

I feel a strange relief when liberals drop the mask, like ah finally, now we can stop beating around the bush
