I always get insanely sexualised asmr videos recommended to me even though I just watch boomers fastidiously playing Minecraft or people going through old history books and shit

Love to be bombarded with softcore porn when I'm not even looking for it. Is it SWERFy to say that sex workers should stick to sex worker venues and away from places kids regularly use like Twitch and YouTube?

Twitch is literally a cam site. Every single bit of it it's deal is based on the Webcam world. Sex workers were they when the old laws were written and they deserve to remain.

I think there's a bit of a difference between playing videogames for an audience, and sexually entertaining them.

No, Hasan should take his shirt off. You can't appropriate their culture and be mad they are better at it

Yeah, people shouldn't get on cam if they don't want to do sex work. It's cultural appropriation otherwise.

Idk what the content of the stream is but i don't think someone showing cleavage and murmuring in to a microphone is going to cause kids any particular developmental problems.

They can stay on twitch for all I care, I just don't really want them recommended to me - let me opt out of 18+ stream recommendations (or better yet, make them opt in). Hell, I don't want any recommendations at this point, but of course that doesn't align with Twitch's business interests. Just let me watch my bald man in peace goddamit :lenin-rage:

No it’s annoying. People need to go jack off to Mormon porn and leave stop watching garbage on other sites. It’s like how Quora is like 50% ERPing disguised as questions

There are tons of streaming sites for sex workers. They long predate Twitch even. Probably most streaming sites are made exclusively for sex workers.

I just apparently mistakenly thought Twitch was for gaming instead.

Unless the suggestion is that we should destigmatize porn until it's on the same level as other media?

I mean they've got non-gaming categories now, and have been making the push for more general purpose streaming ("Just Chatting", music, IRL, etc.) to capture that market. Content like this "ASMR" stream technically falls under that category.

The problem is both that 1) Twitch/Amazon makes a boatload from these channels and 2) cracking down on "lewd" content like this is hard due to subjectivity on what lewdness is. Sure, this is pretty flagrant, but I don't want to see other creators getting booted because they decided to wear a low cut top for today's stream.

Finnster recently copped a temp ban for adjusting his bra he wasn't even pretending to do anything sexual but they banned him for it.

I suppose my grievance should be that the platforms allow it, and there are fewer mainstream sites like them that don't host porn.

If they're too young to already know there is easily findable porn online they shouldn't be on either website.

I used to be really into Path of Exile and one of the streamers I watch got hosted by someone she didn't recognize. She hosted them back like a week later and it was a boobie streamer and we gave her so much shit for it

I think our mistake was ever thinking a Webcam site could be a legitimate business. Twitch copied the camgirl model and cam girls do well on twitch. It is the expected outcome

I guess I should use a different word. I ment it as the opposite of vice industry. What would be a better word to use to describe the subset of business that is not vice related?

It was a mistake to think a webcam site wouldn't have vice on it

          Or something like that

Are these AMSR videos not sexual? My Sonic the Hedgehog inflation art doesn't feature any nudity, but I still don't think kids should be enjoying at it.
