    The surprising thing here is that he was on trial at all. Although it does not look like he was convicted, since he did die on the front lines.

      There's lots of public videos of torture by Ukrainian militias and possibly military, but I don't think any of these people will be punished for it (and this one sounds much worse as the targets sound like mostly civilians)

      He was convicted, but when Russia invaded Zelenskyy freed him and a bunch of other horrible people to have them join the fight.

      He got sent to jail then Zelenskyy freed him and thousands of other Nazi war criminals and armed them and set them loose
