I hate how acknowledging the reality of this makes me sound like a chud. Trump's getting arrested out of liberal revenge, not some kind of adherence to justice. If it were about the letter of the law being violated, Trump would have been arrested 10 times already. He would have been arrested for trying to overturn to election results in Georgia, or for any of the flagrant violations of the emoluments clause.

The Republican Party is an imminent danger to everyone, it’s the modern day version of the nazi party. I have a feeling though that a 2020 American prison is much worse than a 1920 German one. The best outcome here is Trump dying in prison.
The democrats lack the ruthlessness that is necessary for this to work. They doesn't have the will and skill necessary to completely destroy the republicans and as a consequence they're making martyrs out of them while leaving all their power intact. I will eat a hat if Trump spends literally any time in prison whatsoever for a campaign finance violation from seven years ago. Democrats violate campaign finance laws too, they have no interest in setting a precedent that might land their own asses in prison.
