They only do that to save RAM, imagine having trillions of physics enabled rod corpses all over the already incredibly fucked up Matrix world we live in

I didn't know they were based on a real thing when I read that fight in the manga so I thought Araki had just made up some random shit about these heat-stealing aliens and expected us all to be familiar with them.

Morbid curiosity and people-gawking has led me to get Facebook post recommendations for all kinds of stuff like this:

    1. People who think that a drop of water in front of the sky on a cctv camera lens is Planet X, which is normally hidden from view by magic/the government/the elites/aliens.

    2. Bugs, drops of water, dust, or fog on a cctv camera are any combination of ghosts, fairies, spirits, etc.

    3. Flat earthers and chemtrailers. Self-explanatory.

    4. Dinosaurs never existed. Surprisingly this isn't just for young-earth creationists anymore - it's also a lie perpetrated by the government/elites.

made for some cool paranormal worldbuilding though.

i love the fictional idea of some other temporal layer of life existing in a state that would be equivalent to the temporal relationship humans have with trees

Was it Monster Hunt on History channel?

I used to watch History channel religiously when I was a kid, before the Pawn Stara took over. God that episode passed me off so much.

I remember back when this and ghost photos were the biggest example of "technology is special magic" in our society. I miss those days.
