There's no specific place to have serious theory discussions, not even /c/books
I use /c/marxism sometimes but that's not always the best fit.
When is it not? There's also an anarchist community for anarchist theory
And if it doesn't fit in either why isn't the books community sufficient
Ooooh I thought you meant it wasn't suitable. Where is the book club organised then? I recall there being one
The fact that people are posting this to a literature forum shows the need for a theory forum.
Ok, I guess I could reluctantly be a mod.
I haven't moderated an online forum in a decade.... thankless task....
When will you do the relaunch? Is there a form or process to be a mod?
Yeah I dunno. I tried to organise a book club and got tumbleweeds. That's another thing /c/theory could be used for is organising study groups and courses.
not even /c/books
There is c/literature
also there is a c/philosophy, c/politics, c/science
We already have c/Marxism, the only theory you’ll need :marx-guns-blazing:
I don't feel right posting in /c/effort unless the initial post is very long. I don't feel allowed to ask a short question there.
Basically /c/effort is for a particular form. There's that one comrade who effortposts about bicycles. Whereas theory is about a particular subject, not a form.
a second /c/theory except it's for conspiracy theories, fiction theories (anime, video game, movies, shows, etc.), and theories about the motivations of others in your interpersonal dramas.
So long as its a comm that is exempt from the Hexbear Langoliers that eat all the other comm's posts.
