It's one of those slurs the community has been actively reclaiming for longer than most posters on here have been alive, it gets used in lesbian spaces all the time.
Of course trans women are women, that's why they belong in the kitchen
I had this idea, I didn't ask for it it just came into my head fully formed, of a conservative Muslim country that was inexplicably radically progressive on Trans issues. Kid goes up to their dad and says, "Dad, I think I'm trans." Dad sighs with relief, "Oh, for a second there I thought you were gay. It's okay to be trans! Trans women are women... now you have to wear the hijab."
Cut to like a trans guy, he's got his shirt off you can see his mastectomy scars, and he's just got his arms folded like, "Yeah ladies, put on the hijab."ok, that is literally just Iran though. like, Iran's perspective on gay people is that they must be trans and in need of transition. so like...literally exists lmao.
