I got upgraded to business class once, it was really nice. But I'd rather spend my miles on a second trip somewhere else than just be slightly more comfortable on the one trip.
Same. Save money on travel and you can have more fun when you get there. I took a bus over the Andes once. Not only was it cheaper but I got a much better sense of the scale of those mountains. It ended up being one of the more memorable experiences from that trip.
