Australians do have weird hang ups about alcohol though. Drinking in public (unless it's in a restaurant etc) is illegal (though widely flouted if you're rich and white and having am picnic in summer.) So seeing someone walk down the street with a beer brings out the chud, while it's just normal in Germany.
