It kinda is demeaning towards alphys and her insecurities about dating a woman

I mean I get your angle here, but the whole game is about helping people work out their emotions and improve their relationships with each other. I don't really think a super-awkward romance is out of line in that context, lesbian or no.

Maybe? I'm not exactly intimately familiar with the game so it would probably be lower-profile in the story.

It was in the lava world and there were two guards and eventually one of the guards confessed his love to the other guard and they leave. Both are male or male coded as far as I can remember

Got any examples? Alphys is very insecure in general, and insecure about liking Undyne because she thinks Undyne is cooler than her. I don't think her being a woman had anything to do with it

She’s kinda portrayed as a tumblr stereotype: Geeky, Otaku, incredibly insecure about her appearance, rather short.

Maybe, but I don't think her resembling a stereotype is a bad thing, I found her very loveable. And how is that an example of the game being homophobic? I feel like you're reading too much into it.

I don't think Toby is homophobic anyway -- there are two openly gay relationships in the game and even a character who could be perceived as trans (Mettaton). He definitely seems okay with LGBT folk.

Personally, as a gay man I'm willing to forgive a 16 year old for saying the f slur in the year of our lord 2009, especially since he hates everything about that game at this point in time.
