    The first statement in this sentence isn't correct. New Caledonia is the third largest producer in the world (roughly in line with Russia and Canada), but they don't produce one third of the world's nickel. Indonesia produces one third of the world's nickel and they're producing over 1 million tons per year.

    I wonder what the sweetheart deal for the french is here. I remember their uranium deal being comically one-sided.
