Tbh paradox games aren't a bad way to deal with that urge considering the chuds are turning to shit like Qanon to get that same psychic hit. Or NAFO dorks who think cheerleading for war will restore meaning to their soulless western lifestyles.

Granted, it's all abstract for non-military aspects of the world so V3 wins out in that regard. Some mods add more flavor (via walls of text a la TNO) so there is something unique about Hoi4.
