A movie about conclusion of a union fight against Margaret Thatcher with her policy of reduction in the 80s focused on the union Brass Band. It was a beautiful movie, full marks.
I play in one now, it rules. I grew up in it too but every time this movie came on I snuck out with the cool kids to smoke weed lol
I played in a couple brass bands over the course of like 5 years, but i fell out of it because of covid. what do you play? i'm very much a 2nd cornet in my local.
Solo Tenor Horn in mine, kinda annoyed we didn't go to NABBA this year but we set up our own gig long in advance of it so :shrug-outta-hecks:
ooh nice. never did make it to nabba, my first group didn't go, and my second group, well, covid sort of happened
F. Hopefully you can get back with a band again. It was definitely something I was missing
Brings back terrible memories of being in marching band in school. Note to kids: never, ever be in band. It is the nerdiest thing ever and is guaranteed to preserve your virginity long past the point where other people pass that milestone in life.
