I don't know if it's anything specific. Eddie Vedder has been an outspoken leftish liberal type his entire career and hasn't ever been shy about it, so I don't know if they did something more recently. I remember him advocating for Ralph Nader around 2000. Pearl Jam did a few concerts at Obama related events too.
