Along those lines, is there a good tracker (or other such repository) for musical scores/ sheet music? I recently started digitizing my sheet music and would love to share it with people (it's so dumb that a lot of it isn't officially available digitally especially when so many people use tablets for their repertoire nowadays) but I wasn't sure where to do so.
(also I know and love IMSLP, but this stuff doesn't belong there)
edit: also, does anyone have any advice on how to get started learning how to reverse engineer stuff? I'm genuinely interested in cracking/bypassing DRM. Not under any illusions that I'm going to crack Denuvo or anything like that, but I've found some DRM bypasses that required zero RE skills so I gotta imagine there's some other low hanging fruit with smaller vendors that I could get without being a 1337 h4xx0r
Myanonamouse isn’t dedicated to it, but it does have a section for them.
They burned the Library of Alexandria... It is everyone's duty to hoard at least 1 Terabyte of data so that never happens again.
I feel ya, at some point I just refused to financially reward anyone for the implementation of DRM. I've bought maybe 5 or 6 games in my life that use any kind of DRM, never paid for any form of media with DRM. No SaaS, no streaming anything.
Also gone slightly out of my way at times to replace Microsoft/Oracle licensing as much as possible everywhere I've ever worked. I think I've cost them upwards of 24mil$ over the years.
dang, pretty cool you've kept track. how do you convince organizations to switch over to libreoffice?
Never managed that one unfortunately. All database + OS (server) licensing.
Just a reminder: it is always morally right to pirate Nintendo's shit.
Finding out about streaming services changed my piracy habits. Like I dont have to even download anymore, I can just go to Fmovies or 9anime and watch literally everything.
Buying a lower end (but serviceable) graphics card was also a good decision. I haven't spent a dime on games in a while.
When I think of how limited my artistic tastes would be if I restricted myself to what was legally available + I could afford, I feel deep deep sadness for those versions of me that didn't snag a what.cd invite when I was 13.
I just realized Tiny Tina's Wonderland was finally cracked today! Fuck you denuvo we always win!
I ENJOY ALL THOSE THINGS MORE THAN ACTUALLY INTERACTING WITH THE DATA
