Three generations into the GOP's embrace of its religious crank faction, its leaders are forgetting where the money is coming from. Directly attacking huge corporations is not a sustainable plan for a movement that spent the last half century rolling back the government's ability to do just that.

The religious right don't care about money as much as abusing raw political power.
Spoiler Alert: Enacting anti-majoritarian policies tends to end up with those same majorities turning against that political party.
If the GOP loses Florida or Texas - either one - they are a no-go electorally. Demographically they are fucked in both states.
