And I sort of just recognized where to substitute the right variable(s) and that continued from kindergarten to discrete math

Kinda want to go back and learn, but I’m convinced that there was a window in my life to learn those skills and I missed it

Just autistic things

Oh man my spelling is getting worse now that I haven't been writing things on paper for many years

My mind defaults to a phonetic spelling of words and that's just not how things are spelt

I wouldn't say I suck at math, but the feeling's definitely relatable. Having ADHD and constantly zoning out during class didn't really effect me too much when I was younger, but constantly missing important pieces of information definitely started to give me trouble once I got into high school, and especially once I got into university. Finally getting on meds definitely helped, but even with that I had to take multi-variable calculus three times before I finally got a grade that was good enough to progress with my Physics degree. And I can barely remember anything I was supposed to have learned in linear algebra, which really came back to bite me in the ass when I had to take classes on quantum mechanics. Also didn't help that I never really tried to learn how to study until at least my second year of university.

I did manage to graduate with said physics degree, and in only 4.5 years, which is pretty impressive for someone with ADHD, but it feels like there so much I missed due to how my brain works

Couple years ago, I went back and did algebra 1 and 2 on khan academy. It was nice to fill in a bunch of gaps. They gamify it a bunch so it's kinda fun.

I learned the Beat Your Literal Child Sibling Because He Doesn’t Understand Your Dogshit Math Explanations Theorem at an early age. It’s safe to say I’m quite the math whiz now.
