“The purpose of Project AERODYNAMIC is to provide for the exploitation and expansion of the anti-Soviet Ukrainian resistance for cold war and hot war purposes,” the formerly top secret document dated July 13, 1953 says of the project.

“Such groups as the Ukrainian Supreme Council of Liberation (UHVR) and its Ukrainian Insurgent Army (OUN), the Foreign Representation of the Ukrainian Supreme Council of Liberation (ZPUHVR) in Western Europe and the United States, and other organizations such as the OUN/B will be utilized,” the document continued.

The CIA documents show that under the AERODYNAMIC program the CIA operated an affiliate project codenamed CAPACHO where the CIA setting up a propaganda company in Manhattan that “catered to printing and publishing anti-Soviet ZPUHVR literature that would be smuggled into Ukraine.”

Also fun fact this was dated 5 months after the death of :stalin-pipe: .

Every day I think my opinion of this country cannot get any lower and every day I am surprised to find that yes, it somehow can. Death to America doesn't even begin to describe it

    CAPACHO

I believe this project funded the publishing houses that popularized the Holodomor nazi propaganda to most of the anglosphere. They were specifically trying to make the famine into a worse genocide than the Holocaust for pretty explicitly anti-communist purposes. There's an article from the late 80s in the Village Voice (iirc) that details a lot of that.

found it, orig published date of January 12, 1988: https://www.villagevoice.com/2020/11/21/in-search-of-a-soviet-holocaust/

no no no they're not nazis, it's just that the swastika is a symbol of anti-soviet resistance, yes I know the soviet union dissolved and these guys are also throwing up the black sun but you have to believe me they're not nazis.

What are we supposed to do with this information other than put another entry in the Book of Grudges, to be recalled at some future date when justice is achieved? Who outside our bubble would even listen to this?

This isn't me saying it's hopeless, this is me genuinely asking how. From within the box of empire I cannot see outside by myself.

Attempts to pull this info out of the Book of Grudges in an argument with a liberal Them: "You can't be critical of the CIA for disseminating propaganda and disinformation while also using them as a source for your argument. Checkmate, tankie."

Me: Oh really? Well you can't convict someone of a crime and be upset about them committing that crime (and seek punishment for it) if they admitted to it openly and that's why you're charging them with it in a court of law. Oh wait you can. It strengthens your case when the accused literally confesses to the crime that other evidence also points to them committing.

for as hopeless as it is, most libs' interaction with the conflict is largely ineffectual. it's fully confined within the spectacle, effectively sports for them.

since it's impossible to get them to think three layers deep, probably best to just sidestep it like most culture war / politicized topics and engage with their direct material experiences. That's where I've had the most success at least.

For it is only after the fence comes down

    That the cartoon bubble explodes

    And the new party begins

Invitation only - still in a senator's suitcase

Let them out and dance for the ant god

Like scary magnets to pounce upon command

    Upon the plan

    The plan called AERODYNAMIC

How the hell does 4chan even delude themselves into thinking they are the rebels fighting against the deep state? Yet they kowtow to their WASP masters and seem to be aware of their pro-US agenda?
