Need to spend 20k and make your car look uglier??? I present to you: A Prius with a camper added to it. The camper allows a total of 4 people to be able to sleep in this vehicle, and adults can stand fully upright. I cannot find any info out there on what this does to a Prius's mpg- obviously has a negative impact, but is a cough stylish cough and aerodynamic design... link

a total of 4 people to be able to sleep in this vehicle

I'm not a big fan of camping. But I'd prefer to sleep in a text than sleep in a tiny space with three other people - even if they are my closest friends. I need my space.

Also - where I live it's not unusual to have 50 or even 60 mph winds. I wonder if that thing becomes a possible death trap in winds that high on the highway.

I get that, I love camping but prefer to be in a place where you can just lay down outside on your nice soft things and sleep under the stars- everyone has plenty of room to spread out, move to the other side of the tree, whatever. And, am totally with you about need space to sleep in general- if it moves or makes noise within 5 feet of me, I'm going to wake up. I did find the amount of room to move around in this space pretty impressive, given what they are working with!

      No idea about the wind

The photo was surely taken in Japan. The Japanese can be genius when it comes to space. But unless they figured out a way to temporarily shrink the human body - that space is going to feel like a womb plus you've got three other siblings.

        No idea about the wind

Living in place that can get so windy - I'm always sort of amazed how people can forget that the wind (not a hurricane or anything - just the wind) can be a force of nature. Now that I'm thinking about it - I wonder how my Tesla accidents tagged as "driver error" were actually caused by high wind. It's easy to imagine this scenario...

"Mr. Musk - in the tests shown here - we added winds up to 60 mph. The incidence of crashes was alarmingly high. And—"

        "Yeah, so?"

"Catastrophic failure and deaths could be a possible result."

"Unlikely. I'm not worried about it. Next issue..."

Immediately after the meeting Elon speaks to an aide.

"The 'wind' guy is fired. Send him an email, text, and automated phone call. Tell him that security is on its way and he's got 60 minutes to vacate the building."

        Problem solved!

    Oh god don't tempt me.

    I love Prius's.

Possibly the most durable appliance I've had the luck to interact with. Its like the polar opposite of a fun car in every way and that challenge makes it fun.

Snow? Put 'er in "Power" mode and go heavy on the gas and pretend like you're a Finnish rally driver.

Highway? meh get those numbers up boi.

running dumb errands? All the controls are made up, smash em how you like, who cares if its warmed up. Press that gas pedal to the floor leaving the driveway, by the time the gas motor starts you'll be clear enough.

That hatchback? perfect place for 10-20 bags of dirt/concrete/mulch. the suspension will be fiiinee.

Did you know you can neutral-drop a prius? I do.

I was obviously too excited by my ultra-light japanese (potential) technical that I threw care for any kind of grammar out the window.

    adults can stand fully upright

Are you sure? I'm not even tall but that doesn't look tall enough for me to stand up. Maybe just the angle or something I guess.

Looks kind of like my cock ring vibrator

(The American problem/dream of being homeless with a car is perverting all these camper designs I think. Get an RV)

I feel like shit for getting duped into the lithium battery "upgrade" that only works well in 60-80 degree weather. Been getting like 38mpg all winter. Probably fine if you live in southern California.
