It's directly out of the right-wing playbook yet I'm always kind of amazed by this attempt at right-wing ownage.

"Oh, you aren't pro-murder of the weak? That's stupid. And that's on you. But how about if I tell you that the murder victim said bad things about gay people? Huh? Checkmate libt***."

It is "I will own them by their own logic". But the logic is clearly conservative, turning the left-wing notion of "people shouldn't be homophobic" into the conservative notion of "people who disagree with my real and/or concern trolly beliefs should be killed".

It's amazing how many political "philosophies" can be boiled down to a ghoulish Onion-like commentary...

        • We shouldn't make the poor suffer or murder them at will.

        vs.

        • Yes, we should.

Even some libs are like "I'm not in favor of murder but I don't like being afraid..."

Some are fine with murder with extra steps if it means property values stay up. :liberalism:

Sssh. They're accepting and internalizing what used to be far left beliefs. Don't disturb them while this is happening. Keep ratcheting the culture to the left, in 20 years they'll say it's cruel to deny trans kids healthcare.
