You're gonna do way better going nice and slow than trying to have any sort of pace. Even if you feel like you're barely going faster than walking at first (and don't feel bad about having walk breaks if you can't keep running the whole time). You'll do way better (and hate it way less) if you're doing comfortable easy runs more frequently and increasing the distance slowly and steadily, rather than trying for anything heroic. You'll also injure yourself way less.
The problem with running is that the crappy bits are front-loaded, but it will get easier surprisingly quickly if you stick with it.
