    Every therapist has a line beyond which they are unable to remain impartial, and if they have a shred of professionalism they'll calmly admit that that's what's happening.

    My old therapist's line was tobacco use, but both his parents died of lung cancer, so, yeah.

      This. A therapist acknowledging when they’re not prepared to help you is a great green flag.

          Oh for sure. To me, a red flag is something that, on its own, isn’t damning, but still sets off alarm bells of intuition based on past experience. Just that, but for people having a good sense of boundaries, respect, etc
