guy whose entire exposure to politics has been through liberal lgbt rights seeing another politics : getting a lot of lgbt rights vibes from this

not that rights aren't political, but when its your only reference point to filter information through---this is exactly why people think your political conscious is undercooked. many such cases where someone's learned & committed to self-identification being an important and inalienable right but then applying that to things which are not actually part of your personality such as consumer groups (like politi-tainment streamer fans are engaged in)

This isn't because he "doesn't know anything but LGBT rights", because he understands exactly ZERO about that issue, this is because he's a disingenuous wrecker piece of dog turd who loves to grab trans rights advocacy by the neck and do as much damage to its public perception as possible while he tramples through various online spaces spewing verbal poop on everything. This isn't the first case of him doing that, we're talking about the guy who debates TERFs by telling them that women need to learn to shut up. Trans women only exist as fetishized sex objects to this mysogynist horndog, i doubt he's more than dimly aware that trans men and nonbinary people even exist, and he's gone on unhinged rants calling trans women in his chat "mentally ill" or done feature length videos of reactionary-style cringe content mocking trans women for being furries and roleplaying as their fursona with their friends.

If you seriously think this human pimple is some kind of LGBT ally, i'm just being generous and assume that you're lucky enough not to know too much about V*ush, because lol no, the only politics he knows sure as hell aren't queer rights, but press releases by the state department and the DNC. Please do not conflate that with libs who only touch the political sphere when it comes to LGBT issues, these need a more intersectional approach as well, these definitely need to read some theory, these definitely need to understand the relation between queer marginalization and class, but even the worst brunch lib who performatively sticks a rainbow flag pin to his backpack before complaining that ally tickets to a pride event are a dollar more expensive than those for LGBT people will never produce the kind of garbage this fartbeard churns out when he's talking about transness.

that's bad, i do not want to go through the post history of random redditor u/BesetByTiredness225 to write the same kind of tailor-made character assassination rant about them as well.

But i can say for sure that trans advocacy isn't something this person has much to say about, either. Realizing you're trans and realizing that liberalism is not leftism are not remotely comparable. The counter to conservatives claiming that 17 year olds are too young to decide if they're trans is not that 17 year olds are as reflected and educated as adults, but that some, by no means all, but some trans kids securely know their gender identity when they're as young as 5. They intiuitively understand that people use the wrong name and pronouns for them, that they want to put them in clothes misaligned with their gender identity and that anybody else is simply wrong about assigning them their birth gender, and they maintain that insight for the rest of their lifes. Unfortunately i have yet to see somebody being able to completely refute liberal-chauvinist propaganda when they're only 5 years old.
