        …Wait a second, why didn’t they just do that? It makes sense if you think about it: the Kyoshi warriors are just a mirror of the Dai Li, the Kyoshi islands are the first place an avatar intervened in to stop Earth Kingdom Unification (she literally killed Chin aka the mythic founder of China) and them along with the cultural appropriating fake air nomads (not counting the new air monks) would have loved to join the United Republic. I have a lot of problems with Lok but now that I’m thinking about it, this has to be up there with them not having an overarching plot beyond ideologies are bad.

          My guess? For shipping reasons. That or they forgot about her.

          I’m not even kidding she isn’t on the team avatar grown up poster, and Sokka and Toph not having confirmed SO’s feels like blatant pandering to the Toph/sokka shippers.

          Then again they always tested Sukki like a minor character when she’s clearly a main by the end.
