Among methodological errors made – incorrect data used, incorrect data reported as measure, study is not longitudinal, not adjusted for migration of men from poor countries to rich countries to get STEM degrees, uses a gender equality index that suggests Rwanda is equal... because all the men were murdered in the genocide.

I do think the smoking gun is that the author previously did studies that attempted to prove that women are innately bad at math but got disproved by the rise of women's test scores.

I don't care how lib you think this is... But the seriousness with which IDW shit is taken by a lot of leftists frustrates me.

    It’s crazy how they were able to just use the wrong numbers and get published without anyone catching them. I’m not super familiar with academia but is there no quality control?

      They ended up issuing a clarification later on... But no, there isn't a lot of quality control in academia as peer review is often unpaid and pretty unglamorous labour.
