Remember like four years ago when they blew up that dude in Dallas? I remember my boss was like “watch this” and showed that video to me. I remember saying “hell yeah” out loud when that dude did the pull around maneuver to dome a cop. My boss had a face of disgust though.
It reminded me of when I used to play basketball. I owned dudes at the park level, to the point I got recruited to play in a semi pro league that had quite a few former D1 players. I was pretty much that cop for 20 games. I ended up burning my shoes and haven't dribbled a ball since.
Edit: Got caught up in my own head. What I came to say was the dude that got the cop was like Iverson crossing over some rando weekend warrior who runs his homecourt.
For those who don't know, that's a Greek "DELTA force" cop. They were (eventually they were disbanded but now they are back under a different name I believe) riot control cops on bikes who do this shit ALL THE TIME and they're generally a nightmare. I've seen them run over people before. Every time people hear bikes in a protest they panic, because these cops are legit psychos. At some point they even broke the ribs of an American activist who was partaking in Greek protests a few years ago and Chomsky, Judith Butler, Immanuel Wallerstein and others wrote an open letter complaining about police violence in Greece.
ON THE OTHER HAND, while this video is cool, the point of this thread is kind of... Unsettling? Like, if you find people being brutalized entertaining, even if they are cops, it's kind of scary and you should log off.
On the contrary, I've had multiple friends arrested and beaten up while I was meters away, I've been tear gassed to shit, I've seen the DELTA assholes run over people, I've had to run to escape them and there was a protest in June where shit was so bad I literally had trouble sleeping for the rest of the week because I was full of adrenaline, and jumped whenever I heard sudden noises. I was literally in a protest today, though it went over mostly peacefully. But also that doesn't mean I like to see people fucking die and suffer horribly, that's antisocial.
Ummm not really? Like, Greek cops murdered a 15 year old kid in cold blood in 2008. The majority of cops voted for Golden Dawn. Aside from their vids of running over protesters, there's also multiple other vids where they force immigrants in custody to slap each other and say "I'm a jerkoff" just to film them for fun and other horrible stuff, people have died in custody, there was even a complaint by some schoolchildren who were forced to strip completely naked and walk in circles because they were playing with nerf guns. I can do this all day. One thing I will say is that they are less trigger happy than American cops, but that is a low bar, plus they know there will be a huge reaction. But they're every bit as, if not more sadistic and fascist.

TBF most cops don't murder people. If they did I imagine you'd have like tens of thousands of people killed by police each year. Most cops are just sadistic, but murder is something they won't typically do, although they might cover for those who do kill people.

On one hand, this videos go to show its total bullshit when cops "fear for their life", because if the guy was black he wouldn't get the 5 minutes of "please sir, i'm afwaid". Cops will sacrifice themselves to avoid killing a white dude but will execute in front of children for the chance to kill a black dude.

There would be a whole lot less motivation to end life if cops weren't constantly looking for something to derail someone elses life for. European countries have less violent interactions with police because if you're arrested there, the rest of your life isn't over. In the US, what's the point of going quietly if you're about to lose your job, home, pets, and general freedom.
