We have one place in our neighborhood that isn’t governed by the HOA and this is what we get as a neighbor.

HOAs are killing our neighborhood spooky houses that the kids dare each other to walk up to.

The War on Halloween needs to become a culture war issue on the left

Become Halloween pilled like me and understand that the so called "war on Christmas" is nothing but lies, propaganda and projection!

Halloween has never intruded on Christmas territory (alright there was that one time but the Nightmare Before Christmas is the sole exception) meanwhile the Christmas decorations and the god damn caroling come earlier and earlier every year

Christmas has already colonized Thanksgiving, which is ironic given what a imperialist holiday Thanksgiving is but that's beside the point

We cannot allow October to fall to the great red ape! The lies about fentanyl in the Halloween candy spread by pigs need to end! Trick or treating must be never be supplanted by the trunk of a car!

One of my best childhood memories is of one of those houses. We walked up to the house and saw that it was boarded up. They started to turn around and leave. I picked up an 8ft long 2x4. I battered down the door with it and went in. There wasn't much in there, just some trash and graffiti.

Nobody ever thought I was cool growing up. I was always kinda weird but I was friendly and funny so people kept me around. (As long as I wasn't too loud about my unpopular hobbies). Little moments like that were big triumphs for me. I still remember the way my chest swelled up when they said, u/machiabelly is kinda a badass huh?

That is one of the most aesthetic abandoned buildings I've ever seen.

Is this Detroit? There are some beautiful buildings like that in Detroit, near the urban farms.

Cool! I stayed in Detroit for 2 weeks a number of years ago specifically to explore the city. I'll have to check them out, thanks.
