A brief overview of Iroquois longhouse construction and design, as well as village design and fortifications.
This was really neat. I loved the bit at the end about the cyclical nature of the village. Generational planning is not something that I'm used to seeing in our world. I'd love to be able to do work for the world that I know will echo through time.
I like this person's other videos as well. I've only seen a few but the wooden armor he attempts to recreate is very interesting.
Oh cool, this guy popped up in my feed the other week. I absolutely love architecture and technology stuff like this.
I just found this channel last week, I've been really enjoying it. He made a really good video about the dish with one spoon principle.
Oh hey, I did a term paper on this back in school! I was an engineering student taking an anthropology class to satisfy a requirement, so I played to my strengths.
This was fantastic. I've been kinda into European ancient/medieval building techniques lately, never looked into the Americas before.
If it's of any interest, I like these Dutch bushcrafters in Ireland who build a roundhouse.
