Having a huge platform that everyone uses owned by open fash types is Bad regardless of whether you and your 15 friends have a cool little forum or not
It needs to be a huge platform everyone moves onto
"it's not already huge so no one can move to it" this is fatalistic
It probably needs to be something corporate so advertisers, governments and companies jump to it
