I had already drifted away from the show before that moment, but afterward, I aggressively disowned it outside of some Hexbear emojis, such as this one which fits my attitude about the show now. :homer-bye:

    Surprisingly good comment:

Lisa then: sings a song along her father about the workers power*

Lisa now: "E-L-O-N is the greatest inventor!"

Can't even get beyond the point he came on screen and Lisa talked him up and I got through 75% of the Lady GaGa episode.

The lame comedy was forgivable. Comedy is really hard to get right and they where task with making the Simspons last far beyond it's sell-by date but what is so much more infuriating is the blatant fanfiction. Marge and Ned having a affair, endless suicidal Moe plots, Comic Book Guys living breathing waifu etc

at this point you have to assume they're keeping it alive out of spite because they know as soon as they announce the end of the show, the overwhelming reaction will be "god, finally"

Read that as ”greatest investor”, which, while not true, is closer to what he is.

edit: Actually watched the video and the Raisin Detra joke was both terrible and just recycled from ”open faced club sandwich”. I was kind of surprised that Elon is an asshole to Homer at 4:20 :sicko-instapot:, which is actually in character.

The downfall of the Simpsons is directly connected to when the celebrity appearances switched from roasting them to ”Wow, it's (celebrity)!”.
