The hilarious part is that all the pro-separatist laws they passed because of Quebec would work spectacularly well for Alberta to secede. And since it's not viable as an independent state, being landlocked and all, the US would gain a 51st star on the flag. Alberta is the Canadian cultural equivalent of Texas so they'd fit right in.
If Canada gets annexed by the US because of pollution the Albertans would presumably have to stop extracting their dogshit oil and get a real economy for once, which I could see the chuds getting mad about
