Honestly, the biggest instance is broken and the next two biggest ones want you to write an essay about why you deserve to post there. This is gonna work out great.
Its sorta crazy how this site is possibly the most successful lemmy based site and its not even federated.
The folks who put this together really did the "fuck it we'll make our own" and found success where most have failed, even if its the same 500 people circlejerking daily.
