"She went to step up to compete for the grade four shot-put final, and right before she went to throw, a grandfather of a student said, 'Hey, this is supposed to be a girls' event, and why are you letting boys compete.' My daughter is cisgender, born female, uses she/her pronouns. She has a pixie haircut," said mom Heidi Star.

Star says the man then carried on to demand certification to prove that her daughter was born female.

"He stopped the entire event. He also pointed at another girl who also had short hair. He then piped in and said, 'Well, if she is not a boy, then she is obviously trans.'"

Star said the man's wife then started calling her "a genital mutilator, a groomer, and a pedophile."

This is what happens when you allow Americanism to invade your country.

It's traditionally been field event athletes in women's athletics that have been accused of being trans. They tend to be heavier set with broad shoulders and shorter hair. This makes transphobic jokes very common towards them that I remember hearing all the time when I competed.

and the complainer is a white woman that finished like 12th. and half the time, the trans woman didn't even win, she just got like 10th or whatever. the whole thing is framed entirely on bad faith lies.

and they never, never, talk about what this would mean if they made trans masc people compete in women's sports

There is the self-proclaimed "fastest girl in Connecticut", who's suing the state because trans women supposedly ruined her academic prospects.

        She hits the bingo:

        • She got first place in about 10% of the races she participated in, surely seems there are a few faster girls out there
        • She got 6th place, below several cis women, in the specific race she complained about
        • She beat that trans racer literally 2 days later
        • She still got the scholarship she wanted so what the fuck is she even complaining about

(also didn't need the scholarship because her white family in connecticut is very wealthy)

It's so fucked. Athletes are specifically selected out for being weird mutants way over at the far end of the bell curve of human ability. And that's just to start - you need to have te starting stats, then you have to train like hell for years. And then you get to the olympics or something and you get punched directly in the tits because some freak tells you your T levels are too high, or your chromosomes are weird or something. Like motherfuckers sports is already competitive turbo eugenics, and now you're just setting a totally arbitrary limit on how much of a hyperfit statistical outlier you can be before you're "too good?"

      It's just totally incoherent bullshit.

Man I don't even want to think about how my gymnast or hockey friends from highschool would be treated these days. A lot of them were goddamn tanks and weighed like 20-40 lbs more than someone roughly the same size and shape because they were solid slabs of muscle. Lots of short hair and small breasts. They already took shit from queerphobic bigotry and stereotypes of girls in sport being gay, i would not be shocked if it's worse now.

Jesus I remember those being told every time like I'd never heard them before. You just know every conservative meetup had them repeating those jokes to each other for hours at a time.
