Besides the horrifying parts (fascist conservative dictatorship, proscriptions, mass murder), it's hilarious to me because what Sulla did didn't even work; the post-Sulla settlement dissolved when Caesar crossed the Rubicon 30 years later.

In effect Musk is saying "we need to do mass murder to stem the liberal tide, but then get washed away by that very same tide within a generation," anyone with actual historical knowledge of this period would say this makes zero sense.

    I've always considered "technological singularity" to mean a point where some technology exists that fundamentally changes humanity in a way that we can't really go back from, which just means we've had plenty of them so far. We're not ever going to forget about electricity, the same way we'll never forget about fire or writing. It's just too fucking useful.
