    lmao that's hilarious.

    I say this as a guy who likes manual transmissions. Fake engine noises are already sus as hell, but at least with those you can make the argument that they're for pedestrians so your vehicle doesn't sneak up on them - the only thing this system does is reduce your efficiency until you learn to perfectly mimic what the computer would have done anyway.

      at a recent pikes peak one of the electrics was using clips from some movie as their pedestrian warning sound.

      why replicate a shitty ICE engine when i the bus could sound like the enterprise going to warp or make everyone outside listen to thilla killa klowns?

        lmao that's great. I would say set a decibel range that the car has to make sound in, no need to mandate that that sound be modeled after an ICE engine revving.

          tbh i'd prefer not having the noise pollution at all, but i'll put up with it to not social murder people who can't see well.
