What if we kissed and we were both girls and we were both straight?
Like I understand where they're coming from, to a casual observer who has little experience with the genre it can seem like fetish content for a straight, predominantly male audience, but 1. that's literally not what it is and 2. the line between fetish content about someone and fetish content for that same someone is actually very fucking thin.
e: never mind comment cancelled they're just a homophobic yuri fan
generally, yuri isn't popular with gay women. there's other genres that cater to that demographic. I think it's the emphasis on "girl" -- it's got serious :libertarian-approaching: tendencies. like I really wanted to like Adachi and Shimamura, something that was so cute on the surface but the literal fucking panty shots of 13 year olds made that impossible.
a lot of yuri rules, but a good chunk is like that, yeah. stuff like otherside picnic or bloom into you or she loves to cook and she loves to eat are all great and are all considered yuri and i would wholeheartedly recommend them.
also i think the genre thing is one of those urban legends that pops up in weeb spaces like the ghost stories dub or shinichiro watanabe saying the cowboy bebop dub was better than the original
you will never get me to admit I watched yuru yuri, even under torture. the mangaka is apparently an LGBT rights advocate which is cool but shit was a little bit weird.
Yes it was a little weird, but also funny as hell.
Not that I've watched it of course, I would never.
"Its for straight audiences" bourgeois dictatorship, with emphasis on dick
These lesbians ain't gay and I'm tired of hearing otherwise :joker-gaming:
If lesbians are gay then why would they like women hmmmmmmmm????? :leslie-feinberg:
I saw that post and have been struggling to decipher what the fuck he meant by it
He didn't post anything afterwards either, literally
>Says yuri isn't LGBT
>Refuses to elaborate
>Leaves
Actually I just checked and he did elaborate a couple days later but it was funnier when he didn't. Also the explanation is even worse
