No U.S. military personnel went ashore in Gaza.

This sentence seems like one of those half truths/pre-confessions you tell your parents when you know you're gonna get caught but you try to preemptively lessen your culpability.

I don't always agree with it, but pretty sure the way the law works basically anywhere in America is if you are a getaway driver and the actual robbers or burglars end up killing someone you will get charged with the same crime.

This logical argument will convince exactly zero brainbroken racist Americans, but, perhaps worth trying...

By America's own judicial standards it is equally responsible for all the deaths.

Could even extend this argument to supplying aid and weapons. If you give material aid to a state designated "terror" group, you can absolutely get blasted straight to federal prison. If you supply a bank robber with a rifle and they use it to murder someone... good luck with that. Or if you supply ingredients like the OKC federal building guy, not McVeigh, his accomplice's brother or whatever, the feds will absolutely crawl inside your butthole assuming you knew what was going to happen.

And again, I'm generally skeptical of these types of laws not because I don't believe Nichols (whatever the dude's name was) wasn't also partly responsible, but because they just end up slamming extra life-destroying RICO shit on random black teens doing petty burglaries. Not to excuse crime, blah blah blah, but the laws are overreaching and never equally applied.

But American Conservatives and liberals love this shit. They love it when 18 year old gang members get hit with life in prison anyway. Wonder why they don't think this logic applies to their military aiding ongoing war crimes? I think the answer to that is (and I have to put racism aside because yes that's why they fail to see these as similar criminal liabilities. I'm jumping to the assumption they are convinced of the crime but not the punishment) split between the boomers/Gen X types who for some fucking reason forgot that America did Vietnam and now just reflexively think unironically "America is good" and can't be moved from that position ever. And the others are sort of short-sighted or partially blinded younger people who just never even considered the fact that Americans could and should be held responsible for crimes the military and state dept commit. The latter bunch seems to be shifting though, and this obvious genocide is pushing it faster than I thought possible...

this is sad and pathetic of a wish, but if I could see some US "journalists" and politicians punished, and I mean ACTUALLY punished with hefty prison sentences or ... you know... before I die, that would be a nice thing to see.

Surely they should've had people working on the pier at least. This makes it sound like they pre-emptively moved all their guys off the pier ahead of time to try and set up their own "innocence"

the vooters keep saying shit like "trump will be handling the israeli genocide even worse if he wins" and honestly? i don't think he will! the knob on the death machine is twisted all the way to the right at this point! anything more would require a significant restructuring of the machine itself!

The lib strategy I've been seeing now is that they admit both are equally as bad irt Gaza and then laser focus on domestic politics. Which Joe isn't doing a good job of either. But project 2025 or whatever.

I don't understand the concern for project 2025.

It's the same fucking playbook they've used for decades: fuck over poor people and minorities as much as possible.

Seriously. What's Trump going to do, let isn'treal nuke Gaza? Hell I think he'd probably end up getting pissed at Bibi over something stupid and stop sending them arms because he's that flippant. Biden is resolute in his unbreakable devotion to zionists.

Biden is just a smol bean who can't do anything because of mean ol Congress, but somehow trump is going to usher in the downfall of western hegemony and culture...

It always felt like it was a front for some shit like this to happen.

Death to America, death to Israel.

Personally I'm a fan of how the centcom statement said the israelis used a position "south" of the pier which from the video we see they mean "100 feet away"

They put it back together, finishing yesterday I believe. Who knows how long it will last, it requires optimal sea conditions.
