        yeah I think CBS is just looking at it as a franchise and fanbase to be squeezed for its viewership numbers and Kurtzman is the ideal person to shepherd that process, I heard he doesn't even like the franchise so he's treating it like a generic action/scifi property, and yeah there's a lot of shock moments in nutrek that don't fit the spirit of the franchise at all

    For me it was when the antagonists come off as pretty objectively right in the first season, I know that wasn't supposed to be the takeaway but damn galaxy threatening extra planar tentacles seems like something worth working against
