      i'm usually prepared for this kind of thing but the level of racism in this one really did catch me off-guard

      imagine what the discourse must have been like during the ussr days when russia was not only the enemy but an actual threat

        Believe it or not, it seemed to actually be much more toned down. It was an ideological conflict, so the focus was on hating 'The commies'.

        Because the ideology of Russia is Capitalism now, the State is pushing RACIAL hatred this time to sustain the conflict, lacking any ideological motives beyond a vague 'freedom'.
