    reddit-logo threads on this are really funny because so many are saying uhhhh actually the US military is just pretending its not a spy balloon so they dont look bad/give up what they know about the spy balloon

      I'm glad Reddit is committing ritual suicide by cutting off third party apps. I hope that site dies a quick and ignominious death, to be barely remembered by a few in 10 years like Digg.

        Unlikely. Every existing company will continue to exist forever. We're stuck in the end of history and keep getting remakes and reboots and rebrands of the same things over and over

      because letting an enemy float their alleged spy balloon for almost an entire week over their territory before suddenly going "oh shit" and pissing and shidding for another week before setting like 10 million dollars on fire to shoot a balloon down somehow isn't looking bad?

      First, we blow up the balloon, saying that it is a spy balloon. After we've blown it up, we will intentionally make ourselves look like fools by publicly admitting that it was just a weather balloon. Nice!
