I think woke was a cool word with important meaning for a while, and it has some great historical context behind it that made it work. Reactionary media did what they always do though and I think it's safe to say the word has completely lost all meaning outside of those aforementioned historical contexts. These days everything is "woke" and the new reactionary concept of "woke" is so far from what woke actually means as to render the term useless.

Reactionaries and Liberals alike are ruining the word Tankie. Anyone remember when it was a peice of out dated slang we used to dunk on each other?

it makes it really easy to ignore people though. or taunt them with something like "you're just insecure about people being to your left" if i feel punchy
I used it a bit back when I was an anarchist (although I am still not what I would have called a tankie), but even then seeing its usage spread it got really hard for me to use it unironically or to take anyone who did seriously.
I like tankie because you can just bring up how unambiguously history has vindicated the tankies, and shit like this proves Kruschev should have done more.
