Fuck Zuck and all but this is fun to watch ngl.
As for unjust wars, World War I is an instance in which both sides fought for imperialist interests; therefore, the Communists of the whole world firmly opposed that war.

BlueSky hitting 100M would be maybe vaguely comforting news.
Meta getting 3 garden-walled social media platforms is not.
I'm hella skeptical of BlueSky being worth it. The biggest problem on Twitter was always moderation and the lack of mods. From what I've heard, BlueSky does nothing new on that front. It is just another hellsite in the making.
Bluesky has a racism slider built into the settings page, that kind of stuff makes it dead on arrival for "normies" under the age of 35.
4 if you count their tiktok ripoff, even though it's within instagram. 5 if you count whatsapp as social media, and it's basically the default way to communicate in half the world
Twitter pre-Musk was rough, but at least it didn't openly promote fascist content while removing accurate content
Twitter post-Musk started doing that, but at least its reputation was so shit that people distrusted it
I am not looking forward to Twitter 2, run by the most systematically, deliberately, and effectively pro-fascist social media company which everyone lets themselves forget about
Both Instagram and Facebook comments are a unique hell of bigotry, so yeah not looking forward to this.
The more idiot rich people embarrass themselves publicly, the more the illusion of the great capitalist innovator lifts. Imo let them fight.
My boss yesterday was talking about how it's so weird those OceanGate sub people would be so dumb since surely they'd have to be smart to make that much money.
Slop© by Billionaire A (known for evil acts) was dreadful, so let's go back to Slop® by Billionaire B, known for Evil acts
Look,
facebookmeta is very sowwy about the time they made a wittwe fucky wucky and facilitated a genocide in Myanmar.
So, what's the reason for everyone leaving?
- Musk fucking it up from a technical and useability standpoint
- Musk's personal brand being detestable to Twitter's core audience
- Musk catering to rightwing shitheads
recently, its the rate limiting shit. even now you cant access public profiles without signing in.
trending and replies also changed completely
Musk can fuck up twitter as much as he likes it won't effect the userbase that much.... But rate limiting the slop they can see... cataclysmic.
Its like of this site got rate limited most people would just stop using it.

https://www.threads.net/codydad420/I mean yeah, big part of this is Instagram integration. And threads doing it in a non intrusive manner (the opposite of Google+ and YouTube, Microsoft and internet explorer/edge). When threads launches in the EU and other global markets, twitter will really be in trouble. Especially if celebs and journalists jump over to threads.
Until theres a list of all threads users i wont believe that 100 million number.
Threads and instagram share the same usernames. If there's a famous person you follow and they have an instagram page, just change the instagram.com to threads.net and you can see their threads posts if they have any.

https://threads.net/afantano/Thank you for explaining this to the hexbear boomers lol
I tried Threads and the UI was ugly and the posts they recommended were maximum cringe. Maybe I'll come around one day
ive doubts. twitter was Elon's on doing. Its saddled with insane levels of debt due to his actions and is struggling to pay the bills because of it which is most likely the reason why Musk instated Twitter rate limits. Also firing all the moderators and running the site on skeleton staff is not good for it either.
The reason why Threads was able to capture so many ppl so quickly is because of Meta's huge marketing budget and nagging users on Instagram (in a kinda not very intrusive way). I remember when WhatsApp changed from nothing to everyone talking about in weeks back in 2015 when Facebook purchased it.
Also, Starlink is still providing Ukraine's military with internet. He isn't as anti-Ukraine as he claims to be.
