I have an undying love for the early stretch of Dragon Ball when it was silly kung fu adventures

      spoiler

      and ALSO INCREDIBLY HORNY

I haven't followed anything beyond the original manga but it's wild to me that they seem to have retconned the weird but cool monkey man Super Saiyan forms from GT and replaced them with... Saiyans with red and blue hair

yeah, i haven't watched Super and apparently GT is now somewhat non-canon or something (I haven't really cared since i was 15), but I fucking loved the concept that they had to revert to their primal Saiyan Ape form to unlock SS4 and that it came with the danger of losing their mind/humanity if they didn't master it properly

now there's all this ultra instinct saiyan god bullshit where goku just glows slightly and moves faster than time itself or some shit

Also, wew lad Dragon Ball was so damn horny. Even as a kid when I was watching early DBZ I was like "Master Roshi is a pervert, this shit is weird" and that was tame compared to original DB wasn't it?

In the first volume the 16-year-old Bulma is perved on, threatened with sexual violence, or coerced to do sexual favours several times

You literally get to see her naked while Yamcha spies on her in the shower

Fun fact: The publication of the manga actually got stopped for like a year in Finland because of accusations that it promoted pedophilia. It certainly didn't help that for some bizarre reason the publisher released it under the same label as their books for toddlers
