It's the absolute worst, like your brain's drive shaft is disconnected. Spinning, but the wheels aren't turning, feeling every second as it ticks past.

My condolences comrade, if you find a solution please tell me what it is.

Me (clueless): "hrm today I will draw something and write a bit and not masturbate six times while smoking weed all day and saying 'damn I should do something' "

For me, the phone is much easier to just pick up and put down. Social media is essentially an infinite supply of <30 second entertainment, whereas a book will require me to recall what was going on last time I was reading and also find a good place to stop every time I read. With things like TikTok, that doesn't matter, I can just watch 40 videos in 20 minutes. There is no continuity required, which is great because half the time I can't even remember why I walked into the kitchen or something.

You and me both, sister. In my experience, the best thing to do (besides trying to do anything that involves active input just to stave off depression) is to try and find fun things that exercise some of the skills that you need for productive tasks, like how some kids learn to read using comic books.
