    that tanks twitter profit

    to be fair twitter has to be profitable in the first place (which I think it only has been for like a single year prior to musk's acquisition) to tank their profits. They posted something like $200 mil in losses back in 2021 iirc; and of course, Musk has tanked their ad revenue since then

      From 2019-2022, Twitter made about $3 billion a year, and had a cost of revenue of $1 billion. The main way they burned the extra $2 billion was on R&D and sales. A boring accountant-type could easily have made the company profitable over 2-3 years.
