there's no reason for refrigerators, or the grand majority of "smart" tech to be smart in the first place. I just want a cold box so I can store perishables, I don't need it to tell me the weather, or that my milk is nearing it's expiration date, or do literally anything other than keep roughly a cubic meter at a few degrees above freezing.
