Do we recognise money as real? No? Then the financial transactions making the world go round are magic. They are founded on magical thinking. Belief made manifest, just as we seek to do. Do we recognise Deus as real? No? Then prayer is magic. Do we recognise the wiccan goddess as real? No? Then wicca is magic. But since we don’t value reality, we can use wicca, if we wish. Soulism has no problem with magical beliefs. When we exert our will to shape our perceptions of reality, what we are doing is called magic. Our belief that reality is untrue is itself not real. How could it be real? Magic sits at the core of soulist praxis

Oh man I can't read anymore. 150 years of actual socialist struggle making concrete gains for a real transformation of economic modes? Nah just believe whatever you want to be true

I hate this. I hate this so much especially because I started digging into my culture's spiritual roots after getting capital-o ostracized from my church (Baptists still hate the gays); and this is just. Everything I hate about Gardnerian wicca cranked up to eleven and bolted onto a terminally-online idealist's conception of anarchism.

There’s nothing more anarchist than inventing your own personal, foundationless brand of anarchism from scratch in your mind palace.

oh fuck you're right please don't report me for sectarianism i welcome our soulist comrades!

the role of the vanguard party is primarily to reshape our jungian collective subconscious in order to manifest the psychosocial conditions for revolution, you see. trots try to do this through newspapers, but marxist-leninist-solipsists organize group sensory deprivation experiences to facilitate the construction of a new consensus reality unfettered by the old.

You found this from that brainworms commenter, didn’t you? That was the dumbest conversation I’ve had so far this week, though TBF it’s only Monday.

Hexbear users aren't trolls and their personas aren't leftist. They're literally just reactionary conservatives claiming that reactionary conservative positions are left wing. Watch them defend capitalist Russia as though the Berlin Wall never fell, watch them deny genocide of Uyghurs, watch them say not to vote so that Trump can win the presidency and bomb the west bank. Then watch them call their capitalist, genocidal, zionist positions left wing.

I don't think they're being dishonest about the content of their political views, I think their reactionary, borderline fascist positions are entirely genuine.

And also, there's nobody to the left of a soulist like me. http://soulism.net. If there were, I'd agree with them.

Now, I don't know a lot of Japanese, but I feel this manifesto has room to be described with "kuso" somewhere in the the characters.

I'd was going to joke that they escaped from a dimension were idealism and materialism are one and the same but I feel even then they would still be wrong. There is absolutely nothing unqiue about this this to the point of being recognized as a separate idelogical strain. This the type of shit Harry would make up if Disco Elysium had more types of socialist paths.

This is either the best bit ever or the peak of detaching leftism from any real-world application.
