Met a cool guy in a wacky leftist discord, thought we could be friends. Turns out he was just another undercover reactionary spouting racist conspiracy theories. What the fuck? Why is everyone suddenly trying to "redpill" me? This is legitimately a cry for help, I keep having people trying to indoctrinate me into shitty racist shit.

The far right can sense events are accelerating just as much as we can and I can only guess that they are trying to get as many people on their side while they still can, I've noticed an uptick in this sort of thing too.

You know, you are right. I shouldn't be so negative about it. Just got to accept the fact many people are not who they present themselves to be and move on. The fact they are trying to reach into our spaces so much means they are getting desperate.

The anti-woke left is a honeypot for chuds because you can still pejoratively call people gay and r-words and you're just "appropriating the language of your oppressors." Or whatever the fuck they think it is they are doing.

Made the mistake of briefly joining the Unofficial Leftypol Discord server last year after a friend invited me. It's all racist, homophobic, misogynistic chud rhetoric with a veneer of authoritarianism worship.

A decent amount of the people Bernie brought over used to be alt right or libertarians and never shared in any common struggle enough to develop class consciousness or were just bougie elitist to begin with. Now they aren't hiding it to help the campaign anymore. Underneath all the bad faith criticisms the left does have a problem on racial issues, but it stems from people using theoretical understandings of marxism as a cover for how few marxist actually go through the type of mutual struggle alongside minorities that would create a shared class identity.

You mean to say you meet people and they aren’t racist, homophobic, transphobic or classist? It’s always at least one and most of the time it’s all plus they hate people for some other reason you never thought of.
