agree - and upon further reflection I also think that to the extent the general public even considers it as SOSHULIZM, that line of thinking is quickly extinguished by the "well the troops earned it"
I also think this is why congress is content to let it wither and die along with the veterans it purports to serve instead of either properly funding it or shuttering it outright.
